Taking proper care of your candle helps it burn cleaner, last longer, and smell amazing every time. Follow these simple tips to get the best experience from your candle.

✂️ Trim the Wick

Before each burn, trim the wick to ¼ inch (5–6 mm).

Why it matters:

  • Prevents excessive smoke

  • Helps avoid large flames

  • Creates an even, steady burn

🔥 First Burn Is Important

Allow your candle to burn long enough so the melted wax reaches the edges of the jar (usually 2–4 hours).

Why it matters:

  • Prevents tunneling

  • Ensures an even burn for future uses

⏱️ Burn Time Guidelines

  • Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time

  • Let the candle cool completely before relighting

🌬️ Burn in a Safe Area

Always place your candle:

  • On a heat-resistant, stable surface

  • Away from drafts, fans, and open windows

  • Away from flammable objects

Never leave a burning candle unattended.

🕯️ Extinguishing Your Candle

To safely put out your candle:

  • Use a candle snuffer if available

  • Or gently dip the wick into the melted wax and straighten it back up

Avoid blowing out the candle to reduce smoke and wax splatter.

🧼 Keep It Clean

  • Keep the wax pool free of debris (matches, wick trimmings, etc.)

  • Re-center the wick after each burn while the wax is still soft

🚫 When to Stop Burning

Stop using your candle when there is ½ inch (1 cm) of wax left at the bottom of the jar.

This helps prevent overheating and keeps you safe.

🧊 Storage Tips

  • Store candles in a cool, dry place

  • Keep away from direct sunlight

  • Always keep the lid on when not in use to preserve fragrance

🌱 About Our 100% Natural Soy Wax

Our candles are made using 100% untreated, unprocessed natural soy wax. Because we choose to keep our wax as natural as possible, it may behave a little differently compared to candles made with heavily treated or additive-rich waxes. These natural characteristics are completely normal and part of what makes soy wax special.

🔸 Natural Color Changes

After several burning sessions, you may notice that the wax becomes slightly darker in color. This is normal and happens because pure soy wax does not contain preservatives or additives designed to keep the wax looking the same over long periods of time.

If your candle is exposed to direct sunlight, the wax may develop a yellowish appearance. This is also completely normal, as we do not use UV additives that are commonly added to extend shelf life but reduce the candle’s natural and eco-friendly qualities.

🔸 Surface Texture Variations

Sometimes the surface of the wax may appear uneven or have a texture similar to orange peel. This can happen as natural soy wax reacts to room temperature changes. This does not affect the performance, scent, or safety of your candle in any way.

🔸 Why We Avoid Additives

Many candles on the market use additives such as:

  • UV stabilizers

  • Hot throw enh additives

  • Wax stabilizers

While these can improve appearance or scent strength, they move the candle further away from being environmentally friendly. We intentionally avoid these additives to keep our candles as clean, natural, and eco-conscious as possible.
