Why does my Silent Wick candle look different from other candles? Silent Wick candles are made using 100% natural, untreated soy wax. Because we do not use stabilizers or preservatives, natural soy wax can change in appearance over time. These variations are a sign of authenticity and craftsmanship — not a flaw.
Why does the wax become slightly darker after a few burns? This is completely normal for pure soy wax. Since we avoid additives that preserve color, the wax may gently deepen in tone after several burning sessions. This does not affect performance or scent.
Why has my candle developed a yellowish tone? Exposure to direct sunlight can cause natural soy wax to take on a soft yellow hue. Silent Wick candles do not contain UV additives, which are commonly used to extend shelf life but reduce environmental friendliness.
What is the textured or “orange peel” look on the wax surface? Natural soy wax can sometimes develop a slightly textured surface due to temperature changes in the room. This is purely visual and does not affect burn quality or scent.
Will these natural changes affect burn quality or scent? Not at all. These characteristics do not affect burn performance, scent throw, or safety. Your Silent Wick candle is designed to burn cleanly and release its fragrance beautifully.
Why doesn’t Silent Wick use wax additives? Many candles rely on additives like UV stabilizers, hot throw enhancers, or wax stabilizers. When should I stop burning my candle? Stop using your candle when about ½ inch (1 cm) of wax remains at the bottom of the jar. This helps prevent overheating and ensures safe use.
